Senior Backend Engineer

- Contributed to two cloud migrations, owning the Kubernetes workload and application migration for HappyFresh (AWS to BytePlus) and the database migration for a major Indonesian telecom operator (AWS to Tencent Cloud).
- Built two AI-agent chatbots that work as team co-workers, saving the workload of two full-time roles: a Cloud Engineer bot that monitors cloud status and reports on it, and a TechOps bot that colleagues use to investigate technical issues.
- Cut database costs by ~90% (from ~$7,000 to ~$700 per month) by optimizing complex SQL queries and database usage, alongside wider AWS cost optimization.
- Upgraded the main Ruby on Rails service from 5.2 to 6.1, completing its migration path from 4.2.
- Designed and built an internal data-aggregation service for Braze, MoEngage and Mixpanel, and a Verihubs-based messaging verification service on Go serverless and AWS Lambda.
- Instrumented several services with OpenTelemetry and implemented CI/CD with GitLab Pipelines.
